Shodo calligraphy transcends beautiful handwriting; it’s an expressive art form that nurtures a connection between the mind and body. Much like martial arts, Shodo disciplines the mind, with the brush serving as a tool to get in touch with your inner spirit.
During the session, you’ll be guided through the fundamental principles of Shodo calligraphy, focusing on:
– Flow: Discover the graceful movement of the brush
– Rhythm: Embrace the meditative pace of writing
– Balance:Achieve harmony between form and expression
Starting with basic brush strokes, you’ll progress to ink painting techniques, creating your own unique calligraphy pieces. Additionally, we will explore the philosophical dimensions of this traditional practice, enriching your overall experience. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.
